Richard C. Coburn, 83, of Mason, OH passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. Dick was born in Middletown, OH to Clayton R. and Lois A. Coburn.
Richard was a proud American and dedicated his work to serving his country. He was an active member of the US Army during the Vietnam Era and served in the military for 7 years. He proudly served the City of Reading as a Police Officer until he retired after a 30 year career. Upon retiring form the police department, he joined the US Marshal Service Court Security Division for over 20 years. After his service work Dick enjoyed exercising at the Mason Community Center where he exercised some but socialized a lot. On the weekends in the fall, he would be found watching high school, college or pro football. He was active in the American Legion Post #69, F.O.P. Lodge #74 and the Association of Cincinnati and Hamilton County Police Officers. And if you knew Dick, he loved to shop for anything at anytime!! He will be missed by many.
Richard was the beloved husband of Kathleen 'Kay' Coburn (nee Ryan), devoted father of Susan (Dan) Niehaus, Sharon (Bill) Mechley and Craig (Kendra) Coburn, loving Papa of Nicole (Gary), Jill (Michael), Nathan, Austin, Robby, Amy, Kyle, Alex and Cameron, also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at St. Susanna Church, 606 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
