Richard Charles Maidment

Richard (Dick) Charles Maidment of Sharonville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the age of 89.

Richard was born in London, England on March 14, 1932, to father Cecil Charles Maidment and mother Coral May Maidment. The oldest of two sons, Richard moved with his family from England to Canada before settling in Dayton, Ohio and later in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He graduated from Fairview High School and the University of Cincinnati and later enlisted in the Army at age 23. He was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska from 1955-1957. Richard retired from the Ford Motor Company after over 40 years of service. He was an avid golfer, a devoted Detroit and Cincinnati sports fan, and an active member of his church community.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Shirley (McMillan) Maidment and their son Phillip Charles Maidment, and his second wife Ramona (Franklin) Maidment. He is survived by his children Deborah (Oscar) Ong and Rebecca Maidment; grandchildren Stephanie (Levi) Ong and Amy (Matthew) Ong; and brother Robert (Linda) Maidment.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Sharonville United Methodist Church, 3751 Creek Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Burials will be private.
