Robert Joseph Bruns

Robert “Bob” Bruns, 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born to Anthony and Emma (nee Nieporte) Bruns on December 16, 1943.​ Bob was a loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

​​Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Suzanne “Sue” Bruns; sons Michael (Patricia), Bradley (Kristine), Brian (Julie), Paul (Angela), Christopher (Katie); grandchildren Ian, Alec, Nick, Nathan, Asher, Ilyana, Tyler; brother Norbert (Patricia); brother-in-law John McArthur, Jr.; and sister-in-law Caroline Sue Bruns.​

Preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Emma Bruns, brother Edward “Ned” Bruns, and sister Elizabeth “Betty” McArthur.

Bob ​graduated from St. Xavier High School and ​​proudly served his country in the US Navy. He ​was the owner of Arnold Gauge Co. for 23 years before passing ownership over to his son​s​. Bob ​participated in the​​​​​ St. Max​ Young at Heart Senior Group​,​ stayed active as a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus for many years, and devoutly practiced his Catholic faith.

He enjoyed growing dahlias in his flower garden. Bob also loved history, model trains, and poetry. He often wrote his own poems for others to enjoy.

He loved his family and his grandchildren who will all miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6 ^th from 10:00-11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life at 11am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45011. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the mass.
