Robert L. "Bob" Hughes, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born Tuesday, June 2, 1931 in Fayette County, Kentucky.
Bob worked for many years at Texo Corp, developing equipment for chemical use. He was well known by General Motors, Anheuser-Bush, and the Montgomery Inn.
Later in life, Bob enjoyed and had a talent for wood crafting. He built many miniature houses, log homes and churches. Bob also enjoyed completing the crossword puzzles in the daily paper.
Bob was preceded in death by: father, Cleveland Hughes; mother, Mary (nee Miller) Penny; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.
Bob is survived by: wife, Debbie (nee Burton) Hughes; children, Cindee (Thomas) Bell, Melodee Hughes, Robert (Nanci) Hughes; Rodney Hughes and Abby (James) Hughes-Robinson; grandchildren, Brian (Nichole) Sabatini, Olivia (Scott) Nelson, Robert Hughes, Holly Hughes, Kristin Hughes and Reagann Hughes; great-grandchildren, Jax Nelson, Gabe Sabatini and Jade Sandy; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A second visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until time of Memorial Service at 12:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home.
