Robert Evert Larson, 63 of West Chester, Ohio, passed away on April 22, 2023. He was born to Melvin Edmund and Ruth Florence (nee Jarvi) Larson on May 22, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Bob was born and raised in Grand Rapids and graduated from Union High School. He was a 1982 graduate of Michigan Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to work for many years for Belcan, in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, where he worked on the design and development of GE aircraft engines.

He was a devoted member of Christ the King Lutheran church in West Chester. His gentle humor and keen insight were appreciated by all who encountered him. He was an active participant in ministries, including Lunch with Pastor and Deep Dive Bible study. He loved to ask questions that were penetrating and would open new perspectives on topics ranging from theology to current events to worship style.

Bob was passionate about music and was planning on playing bass with the praise band. His wisdom and compassion were evident in his generosity and support of the people and ministries of Christ the King. His love of music showed in his talent for playing the guitar and bass.

He was very involved in swing dancing several times a week at Jim and Jacks with the Bop Club for many years, with a wonderful group of friends.

He was gentlehearted and had a kind sense about him. He made many lifelong friends through the Hyde Park Methodist Singles Group and remained close friends with many to this day.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bob is survived by his two siblings, Ed (Janice Radak) Larson and Katie (Mike) Dahl, five nieces and nephews, Paul (Amanda) Gunckle, Nick Dahl, Melanie Larson, Matt Dahl and Betsy Larson, two great nephews, Elloitt Larson Gunckle and Levi Everett Gunckle and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10th from 10:00-11:00am with a celebration of life service at 11:00am all at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 7393 Dimmick Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to the church.
