Roger A. Peterson, born on August 8, 1932, in Vevay, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a remarkable individual whose outgoing personality and great sense of humor positively impacted everyone around him. A dedicated professional throughout his life, Roger built a successful career in Sales, skillfully engaging in conversations with people from all walks of life. He often remarked, "people are my life," embodying his passion for connection and community.

Roger served admirably in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his character and enriched his understanding of the world. After his military service, he embraced life with enthusiasm, finding joy in numerous pursuits. He was an avid traveler, and along with Lynn, his wife, they delighted in yearly visits to the Jazz festival in Elkhart, Indiana, and the stunning fall scenery of New England. His adventurous spirit took them to diverse destinations across the globe, from Alaska to Africa, always eager to explore new places on spontaneous day trips.

A lifelong learner and creator, Roger had a knack for tinkering and often sought projects to keep busy. His hands-on approach even led him to drywall his own garage, reflecting his resourcefulness and commitment to lifelong engagement. Roger's proudest accomplishments include visiting an array of five-star restaurants and attending many Presidential Libraries, experiences he cherished most when shared with his beloved family.

In addition to his career and travel exploits, Roger was deeply committed to giving back to his community. His volunteer work with organizations such as Women Helping Women, Meals on Wheels, and Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, showcased his dedication to helping others and enhancing the lives of those around him.

Roger is survived by his daughters, Regina (Ben) Blaize, Susan (Jon) Downard, and Sally (Grant Kattmann) Noble. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Andrea (Jason) Bernstein, Matthew (Liz) Denardo, Nicole (Evan) Nolan, Stewart Downard, Carrie Downard, and Echo Kattmann. He was also a devoted great-grandfather to Allie, Soren, Elliott, and Emmie.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (nee Rolli) Peterson, his father Hans Clarence Peterson, his mother Edna (nee Brown) Peterson Foley, and his brother Gerald Peterson. His legacy of warmth, humor, and dedication to his family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
