Ruth Carolyn (Straub) Holtgrefe , of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born Sunday, May 20, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Helen (nee Sebastian) Straub.

Ruth enjoyed traveling and visited many different places. Of those, her most favorite was probably Hawaii as she and Cletus went there three times. Reading was also a favorite pasttime of Ruth's.

Ruth was preceded in death by: parents, John and Helen Straub; husband, Cletus J. Holtgrefe and sister, Marjorie McGucken.

Ruth is survived by: daughter, Joyce A. Holtgrefe; son, Mark C. (Karen) Holtgrefe; and grandchildren, Jon M. (Laney) Holtgrefe and Gretchen M. Holtgrefe.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A Prayer Service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to our cousin Carol Purnhagen for all her love and support. Memorials may be directed to Crossroads Hospice.
