Ruth Mae Moody (nee Barfield), 99 of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Born to Casper and Bessie Mae (nee Eaton) Barfield on March 12, 1922, in Florence, Alabama.
Ruth was devoted to her faith, family, friends. There was nothing more important than that. Ruth was sweet, loving and kind, no matter where she went, she made new friends. Ruth never met a stranger, everyone loved her in return.
She spent a lot of time in serving at various Churches, where she volunteered countless hours as a greeter, teaching Sunday school and serving on the Ladies' Mission Union; and serving meals.
Ruth enjoyed playing cards, board games and was an avid bowler. The home health care team and her primary care doctors office staff loved to have Ruth in their company. They took care of her well and found time to sit with her and play cards.
Preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Bessie Mae Barfield, her husband, N.O. Moody and five siblings.
Ruth is survived by her loving children, Margaret (Jim) Bennett, Charlie (Jonell) Moody and Marcy (John) Taylor, seven grandchildren, Michelle (Bobby) Emminger, Debra Boehle, Leigh (Terry) Wagner, Greg (Jenn) Taylor, Jessica Moody, Nicholas Taylor, Brittany (Jamie Blattner) Taylor, eleven great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, special nephew, Todd Lansdell, best friend, Brenda Love, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
