Ruth was born in Cincinnati, OH September 21, 1926. She graduated from Woodward high school in 1944.  She met Bob when he returned from the war and they married in August, 1946 then quickly started their family – having five children in less than nine years.  She retired from Procter & Gamble in 1985 and “snowbirded” between Mason and Florida for 16 years before making Florida her permanent home living in Cape Coral then Ellenton.

Who was Ruth?   She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend.   She was many different things to different people.  But she always had a smile on her face, a positive outlook on life, and lived by the Golden Rule. No matter where she lived, she always found a church home.  She was a hard worker all her life and had many jobs over the years.   She was a wonderful, devoted mother.   She loved being involved with and thoroughly enjoyed her grandkids - having sleep overs, playing cards (especially hand-and-foot), going swimming and  having fun times at Kings Island.  She and Bob enjoyed socializing with  family and friends.  Her other main interests were  traveling, dancing, poker, euchre, watercolor painting, teaching adult bible study, journaling, and word search.   She enjoyed a bit of chocolate each day, especially fudge, Milky Way and Hershey bars.  In her final few years she continued to be a kind, gentle person.  After every visit with her, we “the kids” would say “See you later alligator” and she  would always reply “After while Crocodile”  and laugh. As corny as it sounds, it never got old.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5 th from 1:00-1:30pm with a memorial service at 1:30pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Following services family and friends are welcome to the lower level until 4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children .
