Ruth A. Weisbrod

Ruth A. Weisbrod, (nee Groh), of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully Monday, March 7, 2022 at the age of 97. She was born Saturday, April 19, 1924 in Reading, Ohio to Frank and Clara (nee Weisman) Groh.

Born to be a matriarch, Ruth loved nothing more than caring for her family. Her home was often filled with delicious scents as she would prepare meals for gatherings. Ruth adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren looking forward to the next adventure she could spend with them. Her family has many fond memories spent at Elk Lake. Ruth enjoyed playing cards and bingo but found solitude in sitting down to read a good book. Her faith was strong and she treasured the special relationships created over the years at church. She will be forever treasured by those that knew and loved her.

Ruth was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Clara Groh; husband, Ervin Weisbrod; sons, John Weisbrod and Jim Weisbrod; brothers, Harold Groh and Paul Groh; and sister, Clara Mae Mueller.

Ruth is survived by: sons, Nicholas Weisbrod and Michael (Victoria) Weisbrod; daughter-in-law, Alice Weisbrod; grandchildren, Heather (Wes) Harding, Jesse Weisbrod, Brooke Weisbrod, Amanda Weisbrod, Johnathan Weisbrod, Christopher (Teresa) Weisbrod, Heidi (Matthew) Lapensee, Emily Weisbrod, Matthew (Tia) Weisbrod, Elizabeth (Shannon) Hinton, Kimberly Weisbrod, Anthony Weisbrod, and Michelle (Jacob) Bellman; 18 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
