Samuel was affectionately called 'Gunny' by his family and close friends; a name his father Paul gave him when he purchased a gun from a local ruler. Just like his dad and brothers, he was very fond of outdoor activities and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed singing and playing guitar.

Samuel finished his schooling at Methodist Boys High School in Hyderabad, India and later went on to pursue education in veterinary sciences. He along with his wife moved to the United States in 2016, where he lived a quiet and relaxed life with his wife, children and grandchildren. He had a special relationship with his six grandsons and one granddaughter and made wonderful memories with each one of them. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, playing basketball with his grandchildren and shared great stories of his days back in India with them.Samuel was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed and remembered for his love, faith, joyfulness, sense of humor and humility.
