Saundra Smith

Saundra "Sandy" L. Smith (nee Williams), of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the age of 77.  She was born Friday, June 7, 1946 in Middletown, Ohio to Elza and Nazzie (nee McIntosh) Williams. She is preceded in death by her father (Elza), her mother (Nazzie), her sister Carol "Sue" Rhodus, her brothers Bobby, Lonnie and James "Jim" Williams. Also proceeded by Rev. Larry E. Green (the father of her 5 children) and James N. Smith whom filled the the void of fatherhood for her children

Leaving behind her children Paul and Jean Green,  John Mark and Sherry Green, Sara (Green) and husband Rick Redkey, Dr. Thomas Geen and wife Ginger and Rachel (Green) and husband Howard Hager.  Sandy also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

As a devout christian lady, Sandy loved to share her ministry of music.  Her melodic voice could carry the hymn of an angel, reflecting her love for Jesus.

Not only did Sandy have a love for her family and friends. She also enjoyed spreading her love for the Lord through her music. She now sits at Jesus's feet worshiping in him in every way  Praise God. Her family will forever love and cherish these memories.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until  time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with her son, Dr. Thomas Green, officiating at Grace Baptist Church, 3023 N. Union Road, Franklin, Ohio 45005.  Interment will immediately follow at Grace Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to: Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
