Sharon L. Schwietert

Sharon L. Schwietert (nee Schoenberger), of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Burnett and Myrna (nee Watkins) Schoenberger.

Sharon loved her family and spending time with everyone at the family gatherings. She was a bit of gambler in that she liked going to the casinos on the "boat" and playing bingo whenever she had time. She and her husband loved to travel and she enjoyed shopping. However, you may not know that she was an avid golfer (mini golf) and competitive Uno player. She would lure her victims (grandchildren) with popcorn, milk shakes and Chef BoyArdee ravioli before crushing them with ruthless rounds of Uno and Putt Putt. She will be greatly missed.

Sharon was preceded in death by: husband, John H. "Jack" Schwietert; parents, Burnett and Myrna Schoenberger; daughter, Amy Hochstuhl; son, Ken Schwietert; and brothers, Gary and Dale Schoenberger.

Sharon is survived by: son, Stephen (Dominique) Schwietert; son-in-law, Steve Hochstuhl; grandchildren, Joshua (Jacquelyn) Schwietert, Anthony Schwietert, Lea (Drew) Barker, Timothy Schwietert, and Sarah Hochstuhl; one great grandson, Lincoln, sister-in-laws, Barb and Sue Schoenberger and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial Service at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. John the Evangelist Church or Miami Valley Hospice.
