Stuart Horrell, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born August 5, 1947, in Orlando, Florida to Merton Stuart and Irene Agnes (nee Shore) Horrell, Sr.
Stuart was a man of many stories; truly fun and interesting stories. Did you know he was at the launch of the Apollo that landed on the moon? Or that he helped design the electric light parade at Walt Disney World? And the stories he could tell about the talent he set up for at the Top of the World! A man that would never brag, but had seen so much in his 75 years. Born with an engineering mind, Stuart loved anything electronic and had quite the collection of cameras and radios he would tinker with. After working at Walt Disney World, Stuart found his passion for working with students, later retiring from Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Florida where he helped update all of their registration software and could be found selling Christmas Trees every year. He had an eclectic taste in music and found British TV to be most entertaining.
Stuart was preceded in death by: parents, Merton and Irene Horrell; and brother, Paul Horrell.
Stuart is survived by: children, Jennifer (Matthew) Benson, John (Angel) House, and Matthew Horrell; grandchildren, Laura Benson, Chris House, Leslie Benson, and Lexi House; and other loving family members and friends.
Per Stuart's request, the family will celebrate his life privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
