Susan Drake

Susan Drake (nee Wanders) of Mason, Ohio, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the young age of 59.  She was born Thursday, November 24, 1960 in Oak Park, Illinois to Raymond and Georgia (nee Anderson) Wanders.

Some people are born to take care of others, and that would describe Susan perfectly.  As a nurse, she was passionate to help others feel better and educate them on self-care.  As a wife and mom, she put the needs of her family first.  Susan was born to be a wife and mother, her dedication to serve and unconditional love for others is a trait to be admired.

Susan enjoyed keeping her body and mind healthy with frequent reading and yoga.  When she was outdoors, she often was tending to her rose bushes that she took pride in.  She will be forever cherished by those that knew and loved her.

Susan was preceded in death by: parents, Raymond and Georgia Wanders; husband, Paul Drake; and sister, Patty Sentevski.

Susan is survived by: children, Daniel Drake, Samantha Drake, and Shannon (Adam Doty) Drake; sister, Linda (John) Pedersen; brother, Ray (Paula) Wanders; brother-in-law, Nick Sentevski; and other loving family members and friends.

In Susan's spirit of caring for others, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, who provided exceptional care for Susan and Paul, as well as comfort for their family.
