Teresa “Tess” Marie (nee Kruse) Canada , 57, of West Chester, OH, passed from this life into eternal rest on July 22, 2022, with her family, closest friends, and granddog by her side.

Tess was born on Mother’s Day, May 9, 1965, in Columbus, OH.

Our beloved Tess was a talented, creative soul with a caring and kind heart, and she naturally drew people and love to herself wherever she was.

She loved to draw, paint, and write short stories, and dreamed of writing and illustrating a children’s book.
While she was passionate about painting murals in private residences, nothing stirred her passion more than creating a warm, loving home of her own and welcoming those she loved.

She joyfully assumed the role of family historian and was the keeper, writer, and orator of a colorful family legacy dating back two centuries.

She loved traveling to the beach, digging her toes into the sand, watching sunsets, and posting her sunset photos on social media to inspire her followers with messages of faith and gratitude. For her, the sound of the waves, the expanse of the beach, and the flaming colors of the sunset portrayed the beauty and rhythm of life.

Tess’s greatest joy, however, will forever be carried forth in her children and grandchildren. The connection between Grandma (“Nonnie”) and her grandbabies was life-sustaining for her and infectiously joyful for those who witnessed it. She was a magnificent, devoted mother and grandmother.

Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23.

Preceded in death by her son, Shaun Canada and countless relatives and friends who surely celebrated her welcome into Heaven.

Tess is survived by her best friend and husband of eight years, Chris Canada; mother Crystal Pendleton; father Theodore Kruse, Jr.; five sons — Jordan (Olivia) McCollum, Christopher McCollum, Adam (Maya) McCollum, Jordan (Sarah) Canada, Taylor Canada; two grandchildren — Milania McCollum, Carter McCollum — and a grandson due in November; siblings — Tamara Kruse, Tadd (fiancee Sommer) Kruse, Tiffany (Darren) Waters; sister-in-law Teresa (Gene) Shell; grand-pups Bella, Riley, Meechum, Disney, Parker, Rhino, Latte; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Mueller Funeral Home (6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Saturday, July 30th from 1:00-2:00pm with a memorial service at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation .

Mueller Funeral Home (513-398-9100) is honored to serve the Canada Family.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23…her favorite)
