Terry Ellis Gibson

Terry Ellis Gibson, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021, at the age of 80. He was born November 27, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana.

Terry earned a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees from Purdue University, leading to a long and successful career in the pharmaceutical and bio-tech industries where he served in a variety of research and executive positions. He was a diehard Purdue sports fan, rarely missing a basketball or football game and loved the times he could travel to West Lafayette to cheer the Boilermakers on in person. He enjoyed nature and being outdoors, especially when he was fishing or golfing, and passionately shared these activities with his family and friends. Terry was an incredibly devoted father who rarely missed any of his sons' numerous activities, and despite a busy work schedule, he often found time to coach their childhood sports teams. This same commitment to family was displayed in his interactions with his four grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth W. Gibson, and mother, Lillian Josephine (nee Rhoades) Gibson Brandt.

Terry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christina "Tina" (nee Schalliol) Gibson; sons, Brian (Darci) Gibson and Scott (Veronica Kratman) Gibson; grandchildren, Nathan, Conner, Austin, and Anna Gibson; sister, Kathleen Fox; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Guests are welcome to join the family for dinner following the service.
