Thomas Albert Smith, 72 of West Chester, passed away on December 5, 2022. Born to Albert and Louella (nee Schlecta) Smith on January 12, 1950, in the Bronx, New York.

Thomas was raised in New Jersey leaving his hometown to play baseball for Doane College in Nebraska. It was there that he met the love of his life, Nancy.

Tom enjoyed being in the great outdoors. He was proud of his yard and took pride in it. He was an outstanding athlete as a child and teenager, playing multiple sports.  He was also an avid golfer who once owned a Nevada Bob’s golf store in Iowa. He won several club championships at various golf courses that he frequented over the years and developed many wonderful friendships with his fellow golfers.

Thomas was a self-starter, a dedicated family man, and a true provider. Raising his daughter while working several jobs and putting himself and Nancy through college. His dedication to family always came first. He devoted 30 years to Air Products and Chemicals, moved his family multiple times to continue to move up the ladder, and ended his career as a Regional Manager. His love and generosity for his family and others showed every day.

Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Louella Smith and his beloved wife, Nancy Smith.

Thomas is survived by his three children, Jennifer (David) Smith-Hohne, Jeffrey (Kim) Smith and Ashley Smith- (Robert) Schoettker, seven grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Ryan, Gavin, Aiden, Theodore, and Kennedy, three siblings, Patricia MacKinnon, Matthew Smith and Joanne (Kevin O’Meara) Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19 th from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am, all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow at the family's residence: 6100 Pinter Ct, West Chester, OH 45069.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association.
