Vivian Basham

Vivian Elizabeth Basham, 84 of West Chester, passed away on May 5, 2022. Born to Frank and Elizabeth (nee Hartung) Walter on October 3, 1937, in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Vivian worked many years in the distribution center for a retail company before retiring and working in the kitchen at Mt Notre Dame High School. She was absolutely hilarious. She was a jokester and could make anyone laugh at any time.

Vivian enjoyed going out on the open road in her RV with her husband, Bill. Some of their favorite stops were to Texas, the Oregon Trail and to the Outer Banks, where some of her funniest stories come from.  When she was home, she enjoyed entertaining family and friends.  She always said what makes a good get together is music, food, and whatever enjoyed to drink.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Walter, infant son, Glenn Basham, sweet daughter, Elaine Basham, nephew, Donnie Norton and niece, Alice Hall.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 66 years, William “Bill” Glynn Basham, daughter, Karen (Don) Zimmers, two sisters, Dolores “DeeDee” Schuler and Janet (Dave) Norton, granddaughter, Brittany Branham, two great grandchildren, Alizea Raybon and Dakota Branham and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10 ^th from 5:00-7:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 11 ^th at 10:30AM at St John the Evangelist, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069.

Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vivian’s name to Mt Notre Dame High School- Elaine Basham Memorial Fund.
