Wanda E. Lydell

Wanda E. Lydell (nee Shipley), 79 of Mason, passed away on January 20, 2025, in West Chester, Ohio. Born to Leslie and Meverette (nee Bekken) Shipley on June 2, 1945, in Sturgis, South Dakota. 

Wanda was an accountant for over 20 years in various businesses. She enjoyed being around people and was quite social. Spending many years of her work career traveling.

She had a passion for gardening with her husband; whether it was flowers or vegetables the time spent together was what she enjoyed most. She was a world traveler. Living all over the world and moving countless times in her life. If her family was with her, she could live anywhere.

Wanda enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard and spending time with her grandsons. A doating grandmother and a devoted mother and wife.

Preceded in death by her parents. 

Wanda is survived by her husband, Timothy F. Lydell, beloved son, Scott (Lianne) Lydell, two grandsons, Joshua and Finley Lydell and three brothers, Dwayne (Evelyn) Shipley, Darrell (Kathy) Shipley and Ronald (Carol) Shipley.

A private service will be held at a later date with an inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota.
