Warren Anderson passed away peacefully on the evening of May 5, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Delores, his siblings—Gene, Bob, Brenda Sue, and Max, with their families—and his children—Wayne, Scott, and Ginger, with their families, including eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Warren will be remembered less for the things he did—basketball player for Cumberland College, Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, long-time Principal of Sycamore’s Edwin H. Green School—than for who he was: a lifeline for the needy, a comfort to the lonely, a laugh for the dispirited. Warren consistently lived out his deeply held Christian values and, in doing so, made his corner of the world brighter. His example encourages us to go and do likewise.
