Bill was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, the late Mary Ann (nee Pratt) for over 56 adventurous years. He was the devoted father to 3 children; loving grandfather to 7, and was looking forward in anticipation to one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann; daughter Jodi Ross; his parents, Jesse Earl and Bessie Ross; sister, Jessie Lea Sherrill.

Bill was a devoted family man who rarely missed an event or game of his children and grandchildren; easily their number one fan!

Bill valued many lifelong friendships, traveling, and enjoying adventures on their boat , The Family Feud, on the Ohio River and the Intracoastal Waterway in Florida. He was known as the "Event Planner" (or Instigator) of many themed parties and good times. He loved a good time.
Bill loved the game of football, both off and on the field. He had an outstanding tenure at the University of Dayton, where he walked on the field as a freshman, earning a scholarship. He later won the coveted Andy Zulli Memorial Award.

He had a long and successful business career that included positions at Xerox, GAF Corporation, Calma, Inc., and Bentley Systems.

He leaves us a legacy of love, faithfulness, hard work, and enjoyment of life; teaching his sons the motto: "Men of Action!"
