William J. 'Bill' Gerding

William J. 'Bill' Gerding, 91 of West Chester, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2022, with his wife and four daughters close by. Bill was born in Cincinnati to William and Myrtle Gerding.

Bill grew up in Norwood, OH, graduated from Purcell High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati School of Pharmacy. Bill owned his own Pharmacy in Hillsboro for many years before retiring and moving to Florida. In Florida, he loved the warm weather and fishing. Bill was a loving and generous individual to his wife, daughters, grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed giving friends candy for special occasions and birthdays, lovingly being known as "The Candyman" at his former senior community. He loved giving, he loved making people smile! He will be missed.

Bill was the beloved husband of Joan (nee Stubbers) for over 64 years, devoted father of Susan Kaminsky, Mary Beth (Dave) Graf, Jennifer (Garrett) Lown and Ann (John) Barlow, dear brother of Bob (Linda) Gerding and the late Laura Gerding, loving grandfather of Christine (Brandon) Bowen, Rachel Graf, Jake (Liz) Barlow, William Graf, Katherine Barlow, Jessica Lown, Steven Graf, Thomas Barlow, Sarah Lown and Paul Barlow.

Funeral Mass will be at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd, Liberty Twp, OH 45011 on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
