William Jay “Mike” Shroder III, 82 of Maineville, passed away on June 1, 2022, with his family by his side. Born to William J. II and Frances (nee Lindstrom) Shroder on August 20, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Mike enjoyed being around people. He was not a stranger to anyone and liked to strike up a conversation wherever he went. Mike could be considered a life coach to many people who worked for him over the years as well as the youth he coached through Warren County Soccer. Helping them solve problems or just being that listening ear was his passion.
Mike was proud to be a recovering alcoholic for 39 years and mentoring his peers, he was a Breast Cancer Survivor and volunteered countless hours with his wife at Breast Cancer organizations.
Mike was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 1957.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening. Mike had a love for fishing and traveling with his family to Siesta Key, Michigan, and Hawaii. He also enjoyed his time in the Coast Guard visiting ports in the Pacific and was a proud veteran.
Mike owned Mason Bowl for over 25 years making friends for a lifetime, he operated LaRosa’s Pizza from 1995-2010 and then Westshore Pizza in Mason for 8 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, William, and Frances Shroder and brother-in-law, Don Paige.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Patty Stump, nine children, Heidi Shroder, Joel (Eileen) Shroder, Dawn (Scott) Bene, Fran (Pete) Harpen, Mike (LeeAnn) Shroder IIII, Chuck (Jaymi) Shroder, Jenni (Mark) Chuhak, Jim (Kari) Shroder and Lauren Worrall, twenty five grandchildren, Henry, Norah, Donovan, Miles, Zach, Jessa, Kyle, Emilee, Audrey, Ellie, Ben, Vivian, Joseph, Samuel, Jake, Andrew, Mallory, Natalie, Olivia, Paige, Rylee, Luke, Adam, Logan and Colin, five great-grandchildren, Reid, Bella, Parker, Miles and Rowan, one sister, Martha Paige and two nieces, Liz and Katie. Mike was also survived by many nieces nephews and cousins along with friends
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6 th from 3:00-5:00pm with a memorial service at 5:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. We know Mike has impacted many people in his life. We will open up the floor for anyone who would like to share an inspirational, happy or funny story about Mike.
Following the memorial service, the family invites you to the Mueller Funeral Home Family Center for food and fellowship.
Memorial donations may be made in Mike’s name to the Pink Ribbon Girls or St Jude Foundation.
