William Calvin Piatt , 65 of Maineville, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2022, with his family by his side. Born to the late John Walter and late Mary Emmajean (nee Schouster) Piatt on December 25, 1956, in Lorain, Ohio.

Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Johanna (nee Forthman) Piatt; four children, Jennifer (April) Huskey, April Piatt, Joseph Piatt (Mariah Eyerman) and Lisa Piatt (Josh Weaver); four grandchildren, Alexis, Elsy, Clyde and Hammer; five siblings, John (Donna) Piatt, Nellie Mae (David) Ingvalson, Leatha (Bill) Grizzell, Connie (Dave) Wright and Vinna Piatt; four loving nephews, Travis “TR” and Justin “Bosco” Piatt, Corey “Cork” and Kyle “Wild” Ingvalson.

Bill could best be described as the most patient, trustworthy, and loyal friend you will ever meet. He took pride in the family he created. Bill was the world’s greatest Dad and the greatest Grandpa and Pappa to his grandchildren. For decades he coached Little League Football, his impact on the youth was long lasting and permanent. Bill was a magnet for kids and they enjoyed him as a friend as much as he enjoyed being a role model to them.

Hunting, fishing, going to car shows, and watching the Cleveland Browns with his family were some of his favorite times.

Bill will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He was the strongest, the most caring and compassionate man, hilarious and one of a kind.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:30AM also at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Deerfield Township, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in William Piatt’s name to St Jude Children’s Hospital with number 22864111.

The family would like to encourage organ donation as Bill was a kidney transplant recipient at OSU Wexner Medical Center.
