It is with great sadness that the Barber family announces the unexpected death of their beloved son and brother, Wright Allen Barber, 49, on Thursday, November 3 rd in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Wright was born and spent his childhood in Rochester, New York, and then moved with his parents to West Chester, Ohio. He attended Lakota Local Schools and held an Associates degree from the University of Cincinnati. Wright worked extensively in Information Technology, including jobs that took him to Portland, Oregon and countries like Japan, Germany, the UK, and Dubai.
Forever young at heart, Wright was never without music to listen to, films to watch, games to play, toys to play with, art to make, stories to tell, and hugs to give. His brilliance, creativity, humor, generosity, uniqueness, laughter, kindness, and joy in the presence of those he loved will be missed more than words can say. “Now cracks a noble heart. Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.” -- WS
Wright was preceded in death by his father, John Barber, and is survived by his adoring mother, Ruth Barber Wheeler; his step-father, Jack Wheeler; his sister Sue Kavanagh and brother-in-law Chris; his brother Brant Duell and sister-in-law Molly; his cousin Kathy Snedecker; his Aunt Debbie Maye; and many loving nieces, cousins, and friends from all over the world.
There will be no service, but the family asks that any memorials be made in Wright’s name to the Humane Society of Hamilton County ( https://www.hamiltonhumane.com/ ), the Scratching Post in Silverton, Ohio ( Home | The Scratching Post ), or the animal charity of your choice.
