Wylene Greenlee

Zelma "Wylene" Greenlee (nee Karr) 87 of Owensville, Ohio left this world for a better one May 26, 2021 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's at Artis of Mason, where she resided since September 2016. She enjoyed many activities and outings there while receiving excellent care.

Wylene was the fourth child born to Ben & Hannah Campbell Karr on a snowy night January 22, 1934 in Laurel County, Kentucky.

She graduated from Lily High School on April 30, 1952. Upon graduation she decided to move to Cincinnati with her sister and her family to find gainful employment. There she met the love of her life Walter "Jaybird" Greenlee. They were married in 1957. In their 48 years of marriage they enjoyed traveling, family, gardening, and Nascar. They attended Daytona 500 for many years.

Wylene retired from General Electric where she worked in shipping and receiving.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jay; parents, Ben and Hannah Kar; and three siblings, Kenneth Karr, Norma Starkey, and Sue Thurston.

She is survived by: one brother, Casper Karr and 10 nieces and nephews. Her niece Marsha Gordon provided care, support, and much love throughout her fight against Alzheimer's.

Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2021 from 6:30 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
