Harold Ray Allen, 92 of Mason, passed away Sunday October 2, 2022. Born in Blanchester, Ohio, March 27, 1930, to Delbert and Mae(née Anchor) Allen.
Harold was a proud veteran, serving in the National Guard, the United States Army in the Korean War, where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart, and retired from the Air Force Reserves after 20 years.
Harold also worked as a machinist at General Electric in Evendale, Ohio.
Harold had a huge heart, an infectious smile, and enjoyed helping people. He was especially handy at fixing cars, and was great at it. A loyal friend and with a generous heart are 2 of his everyday attributes that made him special.
He was a dedicated husband for more than 70 years, a devoted father. Prior to having a family, Harold and Anna enjoyed spending their weekends at Lake Cumberland, camping and boating. They have shared many years of smiles.
Preceded by his parents, Delbert and Mae Allen, and his brother, Lawrence Allen.
Harold is survived by his wife, Anna (née Brenner), Allen, two children, Edward Allen and Carrie Allen, and two granddaughters, Danielle and Kaitlyn Allen.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 7 th from 5:00-7:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8 th at 10:00am also at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason.
Memorial donations may be made in Harold’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
